The starting point
Understand the position.
Company decisions often have both a corporate and a tax dimension. We consider those questions together so the structure, documentation and supporting records can be reviewed consistently.
Before work begins, the company’s activity, registrations, filing history and required services are discussed. The exact scope, responsibilities and timetable are confirmed in the engagement.
How we can help
- Review of company tax registrations and filing history
- Coordination of return preparation and supporting records
- Tax considerations in proposed business transactions
- Review of notices and compliance correspondence
- Coordination with the company’s accounting or audit adviser where engaged
What to have ready
This is a starting list. The exact documents depend on your circumstances and the agreed work.
- Incorporation documents, NTN and relevant registrations
- Financial and transaction records for the period
- Previous returns and correspondence
- Relevant commercial agreements

Common questions
Can tax and corporate questions be considered together?
That is the intended approach for relevant matters. The specific services and any outside accounting or audit involvement must be agreed in advance.
Does this include a financial statement audit or UDIN?
Company tax compliance does not itself include a financial statement audit. Audit work and any UDIN-bearing report require a separately confirmed, appropriately authorised engagement. See our audit and financial systems overview to discuss the scope.
